Description:

Our community service programs are a great way to give back, help those less fortunate and make a difference in the lives of others. We work with dedicated service partners that have a long history of achieving a specific mission and integrating volunteers into their efforts including the Food Bank of Alaska, the Center for Alaskan Coastal Studies, Dare to Care and the Kid's Kitchen while visiting locations such as Anchorage, Homer, Seldovia, and Seward. Recreational highlights for this program include whitewater rafting, glacier hiking, glacier cruising, dog sledding, and more.

Groups are generally 12-21 participants.  Most students come by themselves. Participants should be prepared for our program. Service days may last as long as 8 hours. Remember, you are committing yourself not only to hard work, but also to your fellow volunteers and those you will be assisting.

All group members stay at the same location – we do not have any home-stays. We use college dorms, bed and breakfasts, and hotels.

A certificate recognizing the total number of hours of service completed and a listing the projects accomplished will be sent at the programs end. This itinerary completes 80 hours of total service
