The National Teen Leadership Program (NTLP) is a motivating, inspiring and fun three-day, leadership weekend for teens. This is a special year for us as we are celebrating our 17-year anniversary and returning to the campus that started it all in 1992, California State University, Sacramento.

During the weekend students will hear from three outstanding motivational speakers, take part in numerous interactive workshops and participate in small group sessions; all centered around the concepts of leadership, teamwork, and diversity.

Just a sampling of the program contents include: unity, diversity and bias awareness, communication skills, problem solving, peer pressure, conflict resolution; just to name a few; giving you the skills and assets you need as leaders to power through and make a difference.

As an NTLP participant, you will leave with a focus and a vision to Bring Your Leadership To Life on your campus and in your community.

It’s never all work and no play at NTLP! For the past 17 years, students have been thrilled and amazed by our opening-night hypnotist, enjoyed our Saturday Night Dance and bonded with other students from all over the country (and sometimes, from other countries!) during free time activities.

Additionally, students are recognized at a closing program (parents and friends invited!) for their accomplishments and achievements. Scholastics, athletics, extra curricular activities and community service are just some of the awards presented to deserving achievers!

New!!  Announcing the NTLP Inspiration Awards!  Teen achievers will receive a cash scholarship and will accept their Inspiration Awards on stage from some amazing community leaders who will be honored for their commitment to empowering and inspiring youth to change the world.  Because we want all teens (and adults too) to be inspired by today’s teens, Inspiration Awardees will receive a profile on NTLP’s website  and a press release to media outlets in their home town.

All attendees to this year’s NTLP 2008 leadership camp are eligible to apply for an Inspiration Award.  Confirmed participants will receive information in their final packets detailing what is needed by the judges.

The Inspiration Awards closes our Leadership Camp on Sunday, August 3, at CSUS and is free for parents and guests of our attendees.
